Technicolor modem and remote management
Have just had some service work done (outside wiring, modem replacement, reconfigure statics, you name it). It's all up and working now :). I have changed the default cusadmin password to one of my own, and all of that is working. I have been able to access all of the menus locally. I also have also configured remote management to allow logins from a different outside IP that belongs to me, and I can access the modem via the gateway address. It recognizes my incoming address, as I get the login screen. However, when I log in as cusadmin, it will not accept either my new password (which still works locally) or the default password. Is there a reason for this? Sometimes I'm not getting traffic passed to my internal network, and would like to log in to the modem to see what's going on - the machine I'm remoting from is many miles away and would take a long part of the day to drive to access it locally.
Is there something about cusadmin that's treated differently during remote management? If so, why is this allowed to be set up by the user?
Thanks,
john

Thanks for reaching out to us if you're using your local IP you would need to be connected to your Business Network. If you're using a static IP then you should have access to cusadmin remotely
