Why won't support disable the "Xfinitywifi" and "Xfinity Mobile" on our modem?

We want the wifi totally turned off on our modem but support told me that's not possible. I find that hard to believe since eI've had it done at other locations.

I have no option to turn off public wifi on my end

Srroy about that, To send a direct message you may need to:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary 
  • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon 
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "comcast_business_community" there 
  • - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select “comcast_business_community" from that list 
  • - A “comcast_business_community" graphic replaces the "To:" line 
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window 
  • Press Enter to send it
