PLEASE HELP ME GET TV service!

Hi - anyone else having this problem:

I have Business Internet and Phone service at my HOUSE.  It's a residence, not a business.

I live in Florida and when I try to add Xfinitiy TV, the business unit tells me that some law prevents them from selling me TV service because it's a residence (not an actual business).  So they transfer me to Residential.  Only they tell me that since its a business account, its locked and they can't do anything..i should call business comcast.

It goes round and round.  The business team calls the residential team and tries to talk to them but they have no clue.  At one point they told me to wait 2 weeks for them to verify its not a business.

I need service hooked up by Friday.

Has anyone had this problem?  Any advice?  Switch to DirecTV or U-Verse?

Hello adamr and welcome,

Please just call either 800-266-2278 or 800-934-6489 and ask to speak to someone in New Residential Sales. Simply inform the Sales representative that you are looking to add new Comcast residential TV service to your home. If that representative initiates any discussion about bundling other services simply state that you are a Comcast Small Home Based Business customer limited to only residential Comcast TV service. This should get it done for you.

Hope this helps you out.

Nope. Didn't work. They are all clueless. "Nicole" was calling me back about every 3 hours for 2 days promising she would make it happen. She eventually stopped calling. I called in again and actually had someone from Comcast tell me I should try directv. Which I did. So despite my begging to use Comcast for TV I am now sending my $300/month to directv who answered the phone and installed next day. Shameful
