OWA name change

We had an employee leave and now need to change the display name (sent from) name on our email. We changed it in the settings but the old name still appears in OWA and Outlook. Please advise.

Hello xenos and welcome,

 

You will need to log into your Business Class Portal using your administrator email account. Then on the left top side of the home page click on Users, then select the email address that you need the name changed, click the edit button or link and go to address name and make the changes right there. Then click save or apply and log out

 

You might have to go into Outlook and make a similar email address name change if it doesn't automatically update in Outlook.

For some reason this question gets asked repeatedly here and everyone responds with the same - completely wrong - answer. 

 

For anyone else that needs this done, the answer is to change from Exchange to IMAP (or POP if thats really your thing). You can find your IMAP / POP server on your comcast account page (under DNS settings). You'll need to manually set this up through Outlooks "add new account" settings so you may need a technician to do it for you if your uncomfortable with that type of thing. This doesn't solve the issue in OWA but it does let you send email in Outlook with another name.

Changing the display name online has not worked for the past year.  Can Comcast please fix this problem.
