swapped SMC for DPC3941B, no IPv6 at all

Since the SMCs had IPv6 disabled, I swapped for the DPC3941B, as suggested in the thread "IPv6 Firmware Rollback on SMCD3GCCR".

Sadly, the DPC3941B is not getting any WAN side IPv6 address, nor is it replying to router solicitations or DHCPv6 requests. Using the diagnostic tools on the cable modem itself to ping6 a IPv6 address says 'Connection: Error'.

Is there some flag set on my account that disables IPv6 because I had an SMC?

I called support, they said they escalated, but nobody got back to me.

Here's some info from the modem:

.. CM Boot File: = 'd11_m_dpc3941b_bciwidebanddeluxe_c05.cm'

.. BOOT Version: = '3.4.22.4'
.. Core Version: = '2.6.39.3'
.. Model: = 'DPC3941B'

.. Download Version: = 'dpc3941b-v303r2042174-160225a-CMCST'

Thanks for any help.

Hello sfsmcipv6,

I apologize but I am not aware of any flagging on an account to permanently prevent IPv6 connectivity. With that being said it could be an issue with how you are provisioned against the routing table for your area. As I see an IPv6 designation to your modem I would like to force a temporary IPv4 only mode to allow re-registration to the network. Perhaps this down time will allow for the IPv6 delegations to flow through your equipment correctly. This process can take up to 40  minutes to complete. Please let me know if you would like to take this option and what time of day you prefer. (AM|PM)

Thank You

OK, thanks. Might as well try it. Any time is OK. I sent a PM with my account details.

Sometime overnight the modem started answering DHCPv6 requests. Thanks for your help.
