Netgear CG3000DCR and Cisco ASA 5510

Just like everyone else on here I'm having issues with the Netgear CG3000 gateway and static IPs. I need to access the ASA behind the Comcast gateway with our static IPs but have been unsuccessful. Tried 1-1 NAT and DMZ, both methods unsuccessful. Tried using 1-1 NAT to another device (Linux server) and was successful.

None of the hacks out there on the internet worked for me. I'm a network engineer with solid knowledge of Cisco/ASA so I'd really like some useful support on this.

Thanks.

Hello asdf_jkl and welcome,

You must setup the 5510 WAN interface to make sure the following static IP elements (*=mandatory %=optional but good networking practice) are all present:

1. * the static IP routable address

2. * the static IP Gateway address

3. * the static IP subnet mask

4. % primary DNS = 75.75.75.75

5. % secondary DNS = 75.75.76.76

Hope this help you out.
