Buying my own modem for home office

Hello,

my situation is a bit different as this is my at home work internet and personal. I have 3 separate WiFi channels ( 1 for work, 1 for home use and 1 for roommates). The base modem they gave is horrendous. I need something I can add extenders to. Please help!!!

Hi there @user_166247, thank you for reaching out.  I know how important it is to add extenders to enhance your WiFi connection, especially if you're using multiple channels to manage your home, work, and roommate connections.  I’d like to ask, have you considered using our xFi pod extender?

I I have one, but the tech said it doesn’t work with the business router.

Thank you so much for your patience and for working with us. I understand your situation and we will do our best to provide you with the best service available. What is the make and model of your modem?

Here's what I did for my similar situation.

I purchased my own Comcast-approved modem (I chose the Netgear CM600) and returned Comcast's modem to them, which saved me about $16/month.

Then I bought a TPLink router with wifi and a couple of TPLink wifi mesh extenders.

It was easy to setup and works perfectly.
