Bridge mode.
I now have 5 support tickets (4 closed, 1 open) even though I have asked for tier 2 on the FIRST call. I've been given conflicting information regarding response time frames, whether or not my gateway is capable, whether or not I need a static IP, and even whether or not true bridge is even an option!
I've sent a PM to Comcast_Jon with the required information, no response.
I've commented on another's request for bridge mode, no response.
I've had tier 1 call me (not on the number I left for tier 2 to call...) And leave me a message suggesting I buy my own modem to get true bridge?! A representative of Comcast, suggesting I buy an $80 modem and not continue to pay $12/mo for theirs? That's good for business...
It shouldn't have to be this hard. I shouldn't be here wasting my time trying to practically beg for assistance. Comcast should not be making it so obvious to the consumers that they are well aware of the fact that in a majority of markets, they are an oligopoly.

Rich, no need. One week later and a total of 10 phone calls (if you count the "accidental" disconnects when asking for a supervisor) And I'm sick of the runaround.
I'll buy a surfboard. And bring my SMC to Comcast. And hope for the day when Comcast has a competitor, so I can switch.
In the mean time, I will play their games and be a good little $102.90/mo customer like they want me to be.

Okay, but sorry about any run-around you have been getting. Just make sure you use this link yo confirm your purchased Customer Owned Modem (COM) is supported using Business Internet Tier. Just move the blue ball down to the speed tier you currently have and below you will find a list of supported industry modems.
After you contact Comcast to provision and activate your COM ask the technical agent to validate your COM bootfile is the correct one and the speed is also correct.
