Static IP Lost
OK, I put this in another persons post at first. Let me try again.
I had a modem changed out. I have increased the bandwidth to 100/20 and the old modem would not do it. I had a static IP which is configured for many services. I'm on my failover right now. When comast came out to trouble shoot why I was not getting the speed I was upgraded to they found out they needed to upgrade my modem. (the trouble with the speed was that they assigned the speed upgrade to a different modem that we use for customer WIFI)
I called customer service and got them to downgraded the one modem and upgrade the proper one. They had trouble getting my IP's onto my modem when the changed it earleir in the day and when I called support later at comcasts request they could not put my IP address back on the modem. They say I never had a static IP.I have had it for many years. They say they couldn't see it on my billing. It was on the contract I signed to keep it when I upgraded my service. All things being equal, I had a static IP this morning from comast on my old modem and I don't now. I've been to Tier two and they can only give me new IP's. I could use a little help.

HI Kerry, I you will send me a private message with the Static IP address and the MAC address of the associated Comcast gateway, I will engage the Tier 2 Team to research the issue.
Thank You
