Static IP and Service Migration Questions for Office Relocation

Hello,

We are preparing to move our office to a new location and have a few questions regarding our Comcast Business Internet service:

Current Address: [Edited: Personal Information]

New Address : [Edited: Personal Information]

1. When we relocate, will our current static IP address change?

2. Is it possible to have both locations active temporarily (overlap period) so we can test the connection at the new site before fully switching over?

3. Can we bring our existing Comcast modem to the new location to test the service ahead of time?

We want to minimize downtime during the move, so any guidance on the proper process would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey @user_06f991, Thank you for visiting our official Comcast Business community forums page. We should be able to keep the same static IP address at the new address. Some limited restrictions may block that, but is super limited. We would also be able to have active services at both addresses. If you are just transferring services and stopping services, you can take the modem to the new location.

I would love to get you in contact with one of my Comcast Business specialist to discuss the options in further detail and get everything reviewed to ensure a smooth transition.

Please send a direct message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Comcast Business” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help.
