New Domain Still "Processing"
Since Comcast Business offers a free domain with a new account, I thought I'd take them up on it and registered one this past weekend. It's almost a week later and the registration is still "processing".
I wish I had seen the sticky post in this forum about domain registrations and email account creations not working correctly, but I had no reason to suspect there would be a problem, so why would I have seen it? If I had known it was going to be problematic, I probably would have resgistered the domain elsewhere.
Anyway, could someone please nudge the "processing" along for me?
Also, I'm pretty sure I won't get an answer to this question, but why offer a feature that doesn't work?

Well, remarkably, I found out from calling Comcast Support that the Manage Domains page, unlike what its name would suggest, is for registering a new domain or transferring an existing one only.
To edit the settings for my domain, I needed to click on the Edit Website link. To me, this was totally counter-intuitive, especially since the Manage Domain page says very explicitly "Select the domain you'd like to manage."
Anyway, I'm all set now. Also I want to add that everyone I spoke with at Comcast -- Sean, Ronda, and Scott -- was friendly and helpful. I've seen a few complaints about support people in these forums and I have to say that's never been my experience.

Welcome imnfln. Our Regional Tier 2 Support center reports your Domain active on the Comcast servers. Please see the PM (private message) for additional details.
Thank You

I suppose I should have mentioned that the domain name has been resolving correctly and that the default Comcast hosting page has been displaying correctly perhaps as early as the day I registered the name.
However, when I click on "Manage Domains" from the "My Website" page, it still, even now, shows the domain as "Processing," preventing me from doing any managing whatsoever.

Well, on the Manage Domains page, my registered domain is now showing as "Active".
At the top of the page, it says "Select the domain you'd like to manage." The only thing that's "clickable" in the line for my domain, however, is "Cancel", under the "Actions" heading. Is that the only option available to me, canceling my registration?
