GeoIP accuracy for Static IPs?

Hi,

Is there any way to improve the location accuracy for Static IPs assigned to my account?

I've had a static ip allocation for years.. and geolocation accuracy has been getting worse over the years..  Location services now place my IPs several hundred miles away from their actual location.

I've researched and tried to update the various location providers I can find, but the info never really "sticks". 

It seems like the best solution is for the registrant of the IPs to provide a GeoIP feed, but since I'm just a customer, I don't see how that's possible.

jtw I would be happy to see what information I can find to help you our with your static IP location request. Can you send us a direct message to look at the account please?

Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see an icon at the top right of your page.

From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type 'Xfinity Support'.

Type your message in the text area that appears at the bottom of the window and hit enter to send. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.

@Comcast_Eric​ Thanks.. but when I click on new message, it doesn't find "Xfinity Support" in the list.. there are many user names, but nothing with Xfinity in it.

To confirm, are you logged into the Forum site?

@Comcast_Eric​ Yes, I see the direct message menu and I see my account info in the upper right..  I see Comcast Business in the list of names, but nothing with Xfinity.

@jtw, could you give these directions a shot please?

 

Click the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Comcast Business” in the “To” section. Please include your name as well as the phone number and address for the account. Thanks!
