Firewall issue with Xerox Workcenter 7120

We just switched over to Comcast Business service.  We have a Xerox 7120 Workcenter and we are having issues with the scan to email function.  We have had a Xerox tech in, and he says its a firewall/SMTP settings issue.  

I need to know the proper SMTP setting, the server port, and if the connection encryption is SSL/TLS or starttls

Any help would be appreciated.  thanks

Hello cochranslumber and welcome,

 

You should be able to log into your Business Class Portal administrator email account and then go to Mange Services.Email and look for a DNS Info link. Just click on this link and it will provide you with all of the smtp server addresses that you need.

Hello cochranslumber,

 

I would like to add this VBSSP-RICH's post.

Comcast does not allow "relay" use of our email servers.

In order use them you must activate your MyAccount and create a .comcastbiz.net user name.

Here are the steps to activate it:

The printer supports the following login methods. Ask your server administrator or Internet Service Provider which login method is used by the SMTP server.
