Does IP Address comply with reverse hostname naming convention.

I was a victim of malware, which as I understand was spamming via my IP address.

I have since cleaned up my computers however the damage is already done.

Now, I find a couple of clients od my business are not getting email I send, as I am being blacklisted by a couple of antispamming entities.

I am trying to remove myself from Sam rats, but when I search my IP, I am getting a fail message to the test:

"Does IP Address comply with reverse hostname naming convention."

How can this be fixed? Is it somehthing comcast can repair?

I need help with this one.

TIA- Chuck Thomas.

Hi Chuck.  Please  send me a private message with the mail server name and the associated static IP address and I will investigate the issue.

Thank You

I appreciate your efforts, but for the below reason, my IP is still listed on spam rats.

Information for users. Why was my email blocked?

If your email was blocked, and the link sent you here it is probably because the operator of your outbound mail server has either had a technical malfunction with his DNS, or misconfigured something. Best to call them and ask what the problem is. If they say they don’t need reverse DNS, think about changing to a more responsible provider. Usually they can rectify this quickly, or it was a temporary problem.
