Switching to residential

I'm interested in switching from a Comcast business account to a residential one with less than a day of downtime. Can you please help me get that process started? Thanks.

Hello, @BaySurfer, we can absolutely assist you in the process of switching from Comcast Business service to residential service. The only thing you would want to make sure is that you no longer have any form of active agreement tied to your business account prior to making the change so that you are not assessed any form of early termination fee.

Okay great, please send us a direct message to get this transition taken care of. 

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message.

Thanks for trying to guide me @Comcast_Marcus . However, when I try to write a new message to "Xfinity Support", there is no such user popping up. Is there another account that I could message to get this started?

I'm sorry @BaySurfer for business account you would want to search Comcast Business, not Xfinity Support. But unfortunately our team will not be able to help with transferring the commercial / business account to a residential account as we do not have the access to close the commercial account. For this you would have to call into our business support team. Their number is listed here: https://business.comcast.com/

It is two separate teams that you would be dealing with, however we can still try and be as proactive as possible to ensure limited downtime. The residential account can be created on our end which would allow us the opportunity to personally speed up the process.
