Switching from business to residential comcast internet.
Hi,
I am in the process of moving to a new home, and currently have a comcast business account. My move came up suddenly and was not initally planned when i signed up for the 2yr contract. I no longer need to have the business service because the business will be no longer and am looking to switch to residential and downgrade my internet speeds because the business price has become prohibitive vs residential procing. When talking to representatives on the phone, no one could help me with my issue (as if i was the first person to ever have to move) and i was passed along from department to department 4x. My main issues are:
1) comcast cannot honor my original deal because it is no longer available and i was told that when i move the have to start over which would increase my monthly bill.
2) i would have to pay another $199 installation fee wich i just paid about 4 months ago
3) no representative was able to tell me that if im just switching from business to residential, if i need to pay an early termination fee. And advised that if i DO have to pay it will be upwards of $1500.
This has been a nightmare of an issue and i would appreciate a reply as soon as possible
