My business is closed due to financial loss and Comcast wants to charge early termination fee

My situation is similar to some of the posts in this forum. Comcast Business wanted a $1015 early termination fee. My business is already at a loss and I was told a supervisor will call me at my provided cell phone number to discuss this, but did not get a call back. Meanwhile my business is closed and I have disconnected the Comcast equipment with the Comcast business account still in service. I might add my personal home service is also with Comcast for 25 years! I am terminating my Comcast Business account with a justifiable cause, so hoping a for a resolution.

Hello, user_0d39d8 thank you for taking time out of your day to reach out over Comcast Business Forums. I'm sorry to hear of your business closing down, and definitely want to ensure you're able to get assistance in regard to the early termination fees.

I did want to help get the proper expectations up that I would need to open a request for our retention experts to help with this, from experience you would need to work with that team for the disconnection/early termination fee.

To ensure I'm assisting on the correct Comcast Business account, when you have time please send a direct mssage:

To send a direct message:

  • Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see a chat box icon at the top right of your page. Click that or follow this link here: https://forums.businesshelp.comcast.com/direct-messaging
  • From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type ‘Comcast Business’.
  • Type your message in the text area that appears at the bottom of the window and hit enter to send. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.

To expedite your request, we ask that you please include your name, the business name on the account, the phone number for the account, and the service address alongside your inquiry so we can best assist.

• Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there

• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list

• - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
