I have the Comcast Business App on my Iphone, but cannot update or add a ringtone

Hello,

I need help on distinguishing a ringtone from my work as opposed to my normal ringtone for my personal phone. I can't seem to find anything on my account on the website or my app.

@user_aa3503 Apologies if I'm off the mark here, but to update a ringtone on your device you would need to use the device settings. If there is a specific contact saved in your phone you can associate a specific ringtone to that contact.

To set a specific ringtone for a contact on an iPhone, open the Contacts app, select the contact, tap Edit in the top right corner, and select Ringtone to choose a new sound.

You are off the mark and this doesn't answer the question asked.  We want the app to ring with a different ringtone so we can determine calls for work vs calls to the personal iphone.  It's ridiculous that this has not been addressed.  The answer confirmation does not work for this because until you answer the call you don't know so that feature is absolutely pointless.  If we had known this was not feature as promised, we would have gone with another company that has useful features.

Hello @user_9cbf3e and thank you for sharing your concerns here on our Comcast Business Support Community forums.

When you set the 'answer confirmation' feature in the App, and the call is transferred to you, you are absolutely correct that you have to answer the call.  However, the first thing you will hear upon answering the call is a message that advises you to "Press any key to accept the call."  That's your notification that it's coming from your business line.

If you simply hang up at that point, the call will route back to the business line, and follow whatever other rules you have set up for the business line.  If you have a call forward no answer feature set up (including voicemail) on the business line, the call will then route that way.  (If voicemail is the only fall-over feature you have enabled it will go directly to the business voicemail box.)

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

I just called Comcast Business and if you have Business Voice you cannot have a different ringtone to distinguish if you are receiving a person call or a call on your mobile from the office. You have to have Business VoiceEdge to do that. I have Business Voice and it's very frustrating. If you find a fix for this, I'd like to know. I was hoping I could find a work around through my Iphone but I'm just frustrated.
