How do I switch to residential service?

Many years ago I got Comcast Business because it was a superior solution... but now I find that the residential service is 3x the speed for 1/2 the price.  I have 50 Mbit down and 12 up on business and I pay ~$150/month!

My question is, how can I switch from business to residential?  Do the two share the same cable?

If I sign up with residential, they will send me a modem.  Should I at that point unplug the cable from the business modem and plug it into the residential one? And then call to terminate the business contract?  Or how is it done?

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us regarding switching over to residential services. I very much appreciate your patience and greatly apologize for the delay in our response. I know how important the services are to your business and we want to do all that we can to assist. I am so sorry to hear that you are considering leaving our business services but glad to hear that you would like to maintain residential services. I would love to assist you with the transition. Can you please reach out through private message with your first and last name, business service address and account number or phone number?

Michelle:

I have the same issue as a number of other people on this forum.   I have a very small business (3 employees) and have Comcast Business service.   I am paying over $150 for a business 150mbps plan and am only getting a download speed of 35 mbps.   I have Comcast residential service at my home and pay half the price for 10 x the speed, and that is with a family of 6 with cable, cell phones, etc. .   I am interested in switching from a business plan to a residential plan for better speeds and better pricing.   Can you please assist with this issue?

I am very sorry you are getting a very slow speed at 35 Mbps. I know this is a poor experience that is impacting your business. We are a dedicated team that can help. Are you able to send a private message? Please include your name exactly as it appears on your account, your full-service address, and your account number? (or phone number)

How do you want me to send you a private message?  Do you want to provide your email address so I can email you?   I am not going to put my personal info and account # on this reply that posts to a public message board.
