Buying a business, asked to transfer ownership and was given a new contract. Can I have it fixed?

Just like the title says, I had called in right before thanksgiving break, letting the agent on the phone know that I was buying a business and wanted to start the process to transfer.

The agent told me Comcast Business doesn't transfer accounts (which I now found out is a straight up lie) and signed me up for a new account, while assuring that everything would be the same.

2 days after I take over the business, when the technician comes out, he lets me know the phone numbers will be different.  For obvious reasons, I can't have different phone numbers, and that's when the technician let me know that accounts do get transferred.   Now I've been dealing with trying to get the old phone numbers for a week, and I have to pay over $600 because now I'm stuck paying for the new contract and the previous contract.

Is there any way this can get straightened out and done correctly? Or am I just out a bunch of money because a comcast business rep straight up lied to me?
