Potential port blockages for IoT equioment

We have lab equipment with IoT devices that require remote monitoring. We are having communication problems in part because I believe that ports 1700 and 5000-5004 may be blocked. These ports must be open in order for our communication devices to work properly. Please provide Tier 2 support to resolve this issue.

Hi there @lfihelpdesk, I understand how critical it is for your lab equipment and IoT devices to have reliable communication. When your work depends on this remote monitoring, any connectivity problems can be a major source of stress and disruption. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these communication issues, and we can definitely look into your port configuration to get everything working as it should. Based on your concern about ports 1700 and 5000-5004, it sounds like we need to set up specific port forwarding rules. For most Xfinity business services, ports are not blocked by default, but it's possible that security settings are preventing the necessary traffic.

Port forwarding can be managed in your Xfinity Business Gateway's admin tool.
