Please just disconnect my service...
This will now be the third place I'm going to request Comcast Business to disconnect my service that was initially requested 7/18/2025. I was not informed until today 8/6/2025 that I will actually be on the hook for services that I'm not using and have not used since 7/18/2025. I was informed by the retention department that it's because of the computer systems that Comcast uses that requires the service to stay active another 30 days past the date disconnection was requested. Which, to be honest, doesn't make sense since billing is every 30 days and disconnections happen every day. I requested a supervisor call back but was told that could take up to 48 hours. So! I've already tried the moderately professionally polite way to get this resolved today and have my service disconnected and a refund for the service that was already paid for from 7/18/2025 through the end of July's billing cycle. This unfair practice that Comcast is employing, forcing customer's to pay for service for an additional 30 days past when cancellation was requested, has also been reported in a complaint to the FCC today after my calls this morning where I was informed that there's absolutely 100% nothing that can be done (FCC complaint ticket number 8054859). As many before me on this forum, I too was a Comcast Business customer for 10 years. Never once was there ever a bill paid late. However, I refuse to be taken advantage of when my last 2 contracts signed with Comcast Business (2019 and 2022) state nothing about service continuing after termination is requested. I would love to have a resolution to this today which would be to fully terminate my service and I'll need something in writing showing where service is terminated and no termination fees or additional bills are being charged (especially since the disconnect request stated there were $0 in termination fees which leads customers to understand that everything is resolved NOT that they'll be on the hook for additional service(s) they're not using or do not want). Additionally, the fact that disconnection can only occur if an agreement is signed appears to potentially be another unfair or abusive practice (likely to cause injury to consumers which they cannot avoid or making things difficult for consumers to understand or control).
