How to Change Local IP Network Address Scheme

We have a Technicolor CGA4131COM.

In the IPv4 section, The Local IP Network is set to 10.1.10.1. Our current wired network infrastructure is all provisioned with a 192.168.2.x address structure. My goal is to change the DHCP IP address to match our existing downstream devices. We have a bunch of NDI cameras, switchers, etc and I'd rather not have to go through and change all the device IPs

I can enter a new "gateway address to 192.168.2.1, and the DHCP beginning and ending address refresh properly onscreen. When I click on Save Settings and confirm the reboot after a while the page refreshes and the IP address hasn't changed.

What's the magic trick?

Thank you for reaching out to me today, @tbardenvt. Are you running any routers or VPN's or is this just the cable modem itself?

@Comcast_KimberlyL We are trying to eliminate a Netgear router from our network and use the Technicolor as the DHCP server.

The Netgear had a 10.1.10.x static address to connect to the Technicolor gateway, but it served as the DHCP server for 192.168.2.x address range.

We are trying to remove the netgear router entirely from the network and use the Technicolor exclusively.

The problem I'm having is changing the Local address for the Technicolor from 10.1.10.1 to 192.168.2.1 and then setting its DHCP range to 192.168.2.2 - 192.168.2.254.

I can change it in the IP Settings page but after I hit the "save Settings" button it reboots the Technicolor but the 10.1.10.1 address hasn't changed. No error message or indication of a problem.

Thanks!

Are you leasing your modem from Comcast business or are you using your own modem?

I no longer work for Comcast.

Okay, thank you for letting me know. Can you please ensure you are following the steps outlined here? These are step-by-step instructions, and tips for configuration (LAN) IP Addressing. Did this help resolve the connectivity?

Yes. This is exactly the process I have tried.

Again, I can enter a new gateway IP address, DHCP range, etc and "save changes" but when the process is complete, the changes were not saved.
