Comcast Rep. Lied About Service

Two years ago, when I signed on for a three-year Comcast Business contract, the Comcast sales rep. told me (direct copy-paste):

"Alright based on what i am showing for your account we can Upgrade your internet speed from 200/20mbps to our new 250/30 (for now once the upgrades in the are are done the upload will increase to 100mbps)."

It has been two years, and upgrades were completed in this area, and NO INCREASE to upstream speed has been realized or even offered.

I called support, and they said, "you're not in a next-gen service area."  Then put me on hold, and hung up on me.  Never called me back.

Comcast, this is terrible, dishonest, even reprehensible to encourage your sales people to lie like this.

Good day DManciniXDS 👋 I appreciate you being a member of our community with your post! Please know it's never our intention to mislead or misinform you about the performance of your services, but i definitely understand where you're coming from as I've been in these same shoes.

While the cap on upload speeds is dictated on the area, I'd be happy to check things out for you myself to confirm what the cap for your area is 👍 If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), the business name on the account, the phone number for the account, and the full the service address, we can get started from there.

To send a direct message:
  • Ensure you are first signed in, then you will see a chat box icon at the top right of your page. Click that or follow this link here: https://forums.businesshelp.comcast.com/direct-messaging
  • From there, click the 'New Message' icon. In the 'To' field, type ‘Comcast Business’.
  • Type your message in the text area that appears at the bottom of the window and hit enter to send. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond.
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
• - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
