Tell if a remote employee has DND turned on

For a call that comes into our receptionist we would like transfer the call to an employee that is available to take a call immediately.   

Is there a way if an employee that is working remotely has their DND enabled?   Can you enable the busy lamp (or something similar) for an employee that has their DND enabled?

This is another great link for how to Manage Call Features in general. Can you please let me know if those helped with making sure DND is enabled/disabled properly for your needs?

Those links don't answer my question.   I have looked through all of the general help information.  I think I need a specific answer.

@mnknute, just to make sure we're on the same page, you're asking if an employee can toggle their DND setting? Also, you're asking how to make that same remote employees line appear busy when DND is enabled?

@Comcast_Marcos​  Specifically I am asking if there is way to easily see if a remote employee has their DND enabled.   Similar to the busy lamp field when someone is on their line.

Simple. Go into your phones settings through the browser admin page, go to line keys. add the EXT to a line. It will then show if they are DND or not.

That actually only shows if someone is actually on a call or not.  The busy lamp field does not show busy when someone has their DND activated.  It doesn't in my system.  Does it in yours?

we have the same situation. If a user turns on DND. the BLF do not indicate it. The BLF only shows if the user is on the phone. It the a poor design or does this have to be turned on at a system level? I can find no setting on the We admin console.

We have had the same issue for over a year now. I have tried Tech support and they usually don't understand the question. I got someone at one point who understood the question and he stated not at this time. 

To be honest. Due to this issue, I have started to look at other phone systems.
