Overhead Paging System

I'm looking into the best way to go about this: our shop currently uses Comcast Voice with their Polycom phones.  However, we're looking into some sort of option to integrate an intercom/paging system throughout the shop.  Setting up speakers in the shop, so we're able to page to the speakers and not the individual phones.  How possible is this?  Is there a recommended third-party contractor that could help, or does Comcast assist in a project like this?

Hello @user_5e0dcc, and thank you for reaching out about an intercom system in your place of business. We don't have any service like that where we would supply anything. You would need to purchase the system, and have it installed by another 3rd party, and I don't have any recommendations for you that I can think of sorry. I would ask whichever third party you use if their system is compatible with VOIP phones like you are using. That is about the best help I can be in this regard.

Thank you for your response.  When we get a system in place, can you walk me through how Comcast can provide a page port from the phone system?

We will be happy to support you any way we can, but that information should come from the party that installs the system for you.

comcast would be able to provide a cisco ATA that would connect the overhead paging system to the comcast business voice edge system. you would have to add a seat to your bve system dedicated for the ATA. your comcast sales rep would engage with his/her sales engineer to order the correct ATA. comcast responsibility would stop at the ATA fxs/fxo handoff port.
