Mailbox full - need an alert!

Does anyone know if there is a way to

(A) Get an alert when your vmail box is full, or

(B) Have the system say the mailbox is full when someone tries to leave a vmail?

It seems people can leave messages - that are not saved - when the mailbox is full. So folks think they are leaving a message, and I never get it. If there is not a way for either the caller or the user to be alerted, this is a terrible flaw in the system design.

Help??

Hello @CHR-Katherine, I hope you are having a great day. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to post your questions about your voicemail. I know missing voicemails can be a hassle, are you using a third party voicemail or your Xfinity voicemail feature?

When a Xfinity Voice mailbox is full, callers will hear a message indicating that the mailbox is full and that they cannot leave a message. This message is automatically played by the system when the mailbox reaches its storage capacity.

@Comcast_Quemekia Hi, I am using the Business VoiceEdge system. I have had multiple people tell me they left me messages over the past few days. They did not show in my voicemail inbox (or get emailed to me). They did not get a message saying the mailbox was full. Is there a setting I need to turn on?

After I deleted all of my voicemails and emptied the Trash, I asked someone to try again. Then it worked. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!

CHR-Katherine Please send us a direct message with your full name, business name, full address, and last four digits of your account number or full phone number.

• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right corner
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list
• - An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it

Wow!  I didn't realize this was a problem and I have just sent my own direct message about this issue.

From an administrative side, it would really help to have a report showing the status of user mailboxes so we could identify and notify users if there is a problem.

I tried calling one of users that has a full mailbox and, sure enough, the system happily took my message and said it was sending it...

But it was not delivered as the user's box has been full for 6 weeks!!!

People have been leaving him messages and thinking he just has been ignoring them.

And yes, this is something the user should be managing, but the email transcription feature makes it easy to lose track, so other methods of warning should be in place.

First, a caller should absolutely be told if the mailbox is full.

Second, the phone user should get a notification when the mailbox is full.

Yikes!!!
