How can I transfer a caller directly to employee's voicemail?

I have tried pushing TRANSFER on Polycom phone then entering 55 ext number and # and it did not work. I even tried 55 0XXX then # since we have 3 digit extension numbers.  When any of this is done, I get an operator voice saying that number is not in service.

Hello @numbersguy! Sounds like you are following the proper procedure to transfer the call to voicemail. We may need to take a deeper look and make sure your voicemail is set up properly. Could you please send our team a direct message with your full name and full address? To send a "Peer to peer" ("Private") message:

  1. In the top right corner, you'll see a little chat icon near the bell icon. Click the direct message icon
  2. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  3. In the 'To' line, type "Xfinity Support" there. A drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list (an "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line)
  4. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
  5. Press Enter to send it. An official employee, such as myself or whoever is first available, will respond. Thanks!

I did as you said but "xfinity support" is not an option for sending a direct message.  I did see one called simply "Support" so I used that one.

I'm not seeing your direct message response. You may need to click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Comcast Business" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Comcast Business" from that list

- An "Comcast Business" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it"
