Direct to Voicemail Transfer on Business VoiceEdge App

Now that consultative transfer has been added, we are still not sure how to send a call to an extension's voicemail

It used to be done by doing *55 then the extension. Or *55 extension and #

Of course this does not work, and there is also no button to do this automatically

What is the digit code or is there a way to do this?

Going forward, I'm truly sorry to hear about the complications you're having with your voicemail transfers on our BVE app as I know this can be frustrating. @Comcast_JosephW I am referring to the program/app on windows computer not a physical phone. How do you send a call to an extension's voicemail on that? Doing what is stated in that article does not work

Ok, understood and I greatly appreciate these further details! Within the desktop app, are you able to locate the "Transfer from Voicemail" tab? From there you should be able to select the option to "transfer from Voicemail" and then enter in the phone's extension to the desired phone line. After, select the Checkboxes to enable the settings, etc. Also, is this the article you're referencing by chance? https://comca.st/3sWr3h3. Hi,

In the article https://comca.st/2Rbhei0 it discusses perform a direct-to-voicemail transfer which does not work in the VoiceEdge desktop app with the recent transfer option changes (software update). How can a a direct-to-voicemail transfer be completed in the VoiceEdge desktop application now? Thank you.

Hey @user_c97de3! Great question. When in the app, there should be a "Call Control" option available for the call. From there, you'll be able to answer, hold or end your call from the convenience of the VoiceEdge Desktop App. You can also move/transfer an active call to some other device or to anyone else within that same section as well (including voicemail). If you give that a try, does it work for you?

Hi ComcastKatie,

I can move/transfer an active call but the direct to voicemail option doesn't work.  Can you please outline the procedure to use in the Desktop App to transfer an existing call direct to another line voicemail?
