Click to dial on desktop app

I work remotely from the web and I am constantly needing to call numbers on the web. I need to be able to click the number and have it dial from my voice edge windows app. I see that there used to be an extension for Chrome but you guys never updated it so Google removed it. How do I get this absolutely essential feature now?
