MISSING MODEM BATTERY

Just got a letter that stated that Comcast is recieving signal of battery needs to be installed or replaced. Okay great I go to the telco closet and there isnt a battery in the modem. Okay I follow the direction on how to acquire a replacement battery, and all I get the how to reinstall the batter but not how to place an order to have a battery sent my location.

Someone please let know how to order a replacement battery from you.

This isn't sovled for the rest of us!  Please post an official response on how to replace our batteries.  And I don't buy that "not for business customers" answer, since obviously we are all business cutomers who recevied a letter from YOU.

Interesting....

Quote from letter:

[Last paragraph of letter;

If you cannot locate the battery, or if it has been depleted, please visit help.comcast.net/modem/battery/order so that we can send a battery to your company immediately.]

1. the link is useless, sends me to how to install the battery that I do not have.

2. why is the battery not installed in the first place I understand instalation tehcs can sometimes make mistakes.

FYI: this is a fire department, not Joe Schmoe business office, public does not have access to our telco room and I the IT technician did not remove said battery.

Marked as solved, yet the solution was for the poster to check his PMs. Great job.

I have the same issue, got a letter saying to use the URL

help.comcast.net/modem/battery/order to order a new battery. The URL does not resolve. Searching only leads to battery install instructions and this thread. Hopefully the battery is made of wild goose, because I feel like I am chasing one.
