how long does it take to port a number

I'm trying to port my landline to a cellphone (not comcast). I was told it would take two months. Sprint/tmobil spoke to comcast and got it down to one month. Both carriers say it cannot be done quicker than that. Of course everything I read says differently, including the FCC:

 How long does the porting process last? FCC rules require simple ports, which generally do not involve more than one line or more complex adjustments to telephone switching equipment, to be processed in one business day. You may be able to use your phone within a few hours for changes among wireless service providers. However, porting from wireline to wireless service may still take a few days. https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/porting-keeping-your-phone-number-when-you-change-providers

How can I get this sped up to the 'few days' as the FCC indicates it should take?

Hello and Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a great week! I also appreciate you taking a moment out of your day to reach out to us on our Business Community Forums! You’ve reached the best place and perfect person to help with virtually all of your account needs! Going forward, phone number porting timeframes can vary depending on several factors including each carrier guidelines, the amount of ports being processed at a given time, geographical location, etc. However, the best way to get started on this process would be to place an order with our Xfinity Voice services. This can be done online at https://comca.st/2NZ8Hxd. Additionally, you can find more information on our specific Voice porting policies here: https://comca.st/3bGTvx2;

I already have a comcast phone line. I am porting it to sprint/tmobile, but need it to happen quicker than the one month comcast is saying it will take. The voice porting policy link doesn't work.

Yes, I totally understand where you're coming from and because each rate center varies from geographical location along with the amount of ports being processed at a given timeframe to each carrier, the process can still vary longer than a few days. Since you have already consulted with both carries including us, it sounds like there will be a one month process for the full porting process to complete.
