Directory Listing / Management Fee
Contacted Comcast today to remove the "Directory Listing" / "Directory Management Fee" to my phone service. When I contacted customer service to explicitly opt out of this directory service and have the fee removed from my current plan, the representatives (spoke with three) refused. I was told that the only way to eliminate this fee was to either sign an entirely new long-term service contract or completely migrate my landline infrastructure over to a cellular network plan.
As I understand, the directory listing is an optional, internal service feature, not a government-mandated tax or regulatory fee.
Does conditioning the removal of an unwanted, unrequested service fee on the mandatory purchase of alternative cellular services or a new contract renewal constitute deceptive forced bundling?

Thank you for visiting our official Comcast Business Forums Community support page @user_c213d6. The "Directory Listing Management Fee" covers the cost related to the management of customer’s directory listing(s). This is not a government mandated or required fee and will increase from time to time. This is a fixed monthly cost for Voice service.
This is a charge that cannot be removed and not an optional Directory List/Directory Assistant charge. As this is charged for our Comcast Business Voice service, you can opt to transfer the phone number to a Comcast Business Mobile line which would be subjected to different taxes and fees.
You can learn more by visiting our 'Common taxes and fees on your bill' support page.
