2 line, voicemail hunt group help
We have a 3 line system with voice mail on the primary line only. One line is a dedicated fax line(Line 3) and the other two are the primary line(Line 1) and a backup line(Line 2).
Line 2's phone number is not published
What I would like to system to do is:
Line 1 Ring no answer-go to Voice Mail
Line 1 Busy-go to Line 2
Line 2 Ring no answer or busy- go to Voice Mail
I have using call forwarding as described above for Line 1, but then Line 2 never goes to Voice Mail.
If I use the Hunt Group, in both scenarios-Line 1 goes to Line 2 (tying up both lines), but Line 2 does transfer to Voice Mail.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks, Jerry

Thank you for reaching out to us. I do recommend using our hunt group feature or our call forward busy no answer features with the services to set this up. This link will tell you how to access and change those features and allow you to choose the best option. https://business.comcast.com/help-and-support/voice/phone-business-class-voice-features/. I am happy to assist at any time.

Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the quick response. I do currently have the hunt group set up to use Line1 -> Line 2 -> voicemail. That works fine if Line 1 is busy, but if it isn't answered, it forwards to Line 2 and finally to voice mail. Both lines only ring to my desk, so if the call isn't answered, I was hoping that it would go directly to voicemail not Line 2.
I hope that this helps to clarify matters.

You can set up the calls to go to voicemail if not answered with the call forward no answer feature. This may work better for you. I would use the call forward busy option with this as it will override the hunt group. The feature works the same as the hunting feature.

Hello,
We also have Line 1 and Line 2 setup through Hunt Group. Try dialing *90 on Line 1 and when prompted enter Line 2's phone number followed by the # sign. Hope this works for you!

We appreciate you reaching out to our Comcast Busines Support Forum non the less, VCI! Voice configuration can be a tedious thing. I'll need to take a closer look at your account to ensure I'm giving you the best answer. Do you mind private messaging me with your full name, address and, phone number?
